We’ve had it all this month. Lots of snow, high winds, rain and sleet. Not to mention high winds, sleet, rain and lots of snow. Yep, the weather has just kept on repeating itself with the storms that battered the UK bouncing off Britain and making their way to the French Alps. For the first time that I can remember lifts not only in Avoriaz but in Morzine too were closed on consecutive or various days!!

None of this, of course, stopped us from having a great time! Many of our regular guests visited the chalet on different weekends. First there was Nicki and Tim with Jonathan and his sons, then Chef, Fliss, Lionel and Alex and finally Kath, John, Susan and Matt. All could ski pretty well, so much skiing both on and off piste was done! Some great powder was found in nice sunny conditions in Switzerland. Morgins was reached for the first time this Winter, we ski’d through the trees above Super Chatel and made the fabulous descent down Grand Paradis. We even attempted to go down the Swiss Wall for Jonathan’s sons sake but thankfully, that day it was closed!!!

Oh, some fine lunches were also enjoyed in fab mountain restaurants with great, panoramic views! Although, the Café des Sports in Morgins has still to be frequented this Winter. I’m sure we’ll get there soon:)))

Here are the pics so you can share some of the fun experiences:
