Thought I’d just publish a final few photos from this Winter, our fab last weekend of the season (mid April)! Unbelievably, Nicki Brenchley visited our chalet for a third time – this time with her friends Nicky, Flo and Jill. The Morzine/ Les Gets area was still open, links into Switzerland and Chatel were still open, the snow was still freezing overnight so conditions were great from mid morning, the pistes were largely deserted especially on the Morzine side, many lunches were enjoyed on ‘Les Marmottes’ (Lindarets) sunny terrace – the pork grilled on the BBQ was just divine with a few glasses of Rose!! And, a few, last Apres drinks were consumed at the Cosy bar in Ardent plus some dancing (Nicki & Flo) at ‘Le Tremplin’s’ end of season party was enjoyed!!
True, the host did get one thing badly wrong and Nicky had to ski down a steepish Red Run to Les Crosets in Switzerland one morning, since the easy route turned out to be closed. Ahhhh!! But she coped magnificently, emphasising how much her skiing came on over the few days she was with us. (Nicky really didn’t want to ski reds, especially if they were a bit steep!!). The lady done good, Jill who was with us was very patient and proud, and we really hope I haven’t put her off skiing, or coming back!!
There’s also an honorary pic of Jonathan Callow and his son’s Seb and Charlie. They also had come back to Morzine for the 3rd time this Winter and they’re always fun to ski with!! Jonathan has definitely promised to come and stay at the chalet next year now he’s gone back to the real world in The City. Hope, its going well Jonty and good luck with your A Levels Seb!!
Thanks to all our great guests for another magnificent Winter. It really wouldn’t be possible without you:)) And, Special Thanks to Rita and Alex for some fabulous cooking, excellent serving and hosting, lots of cleaning, some skiing and generally, putting up with me all Winter! Have great Summers and we look forward to seeing many of you (our guests) again next Winter:)))
